Katikiro Eng. JB Walusimbi has urged the public to rest all the ranting on the outgoing Bishop of Namirembe Diocese, Samuel Balagadde Sekadde. Walusimbi, while on a courtesy call to the out going Bishop of Namirembe at the church over the week said, “We have been receiving word that the out going Bishop was involved in all sorts of scandals but the people who spread the allegations have no evidence to prove.”
“We are therefore appealing to the public to leave the Bishop alone and let him retire peacefully, after the 15 years of service to Namirembe Diocese.” he added. Katikiro’s comments come after accusations against the out going Namirembe Bishop Samuel Balagadde Sekadde implicated him in a church land sale scandal, misuse of church funds as well as receiving a monthly salary from Buddo Junior and Kings College Buddo. Sekadde has since denied involving in all those scandals and added that the money which he used to build his magnificent resident was out of his monthly savings for 15 years.
Sekadde further described the allegations as malicious.
